I owned one and it was great....until some crackhead stole it from me. 
They are the old Windham Maine plant of Bushmasters that was closed when Remington bought bushmaster. I think thats right.
Good gun tho.

I looked at those, ended up with Sig due to price, availability. Old Bushmaster guys who should know what they are doing. But I would have bought Windham no problem - good gun in that price range.

Owned by the founder of bushmaster- it killed him that Rem. closed the plant, so when his non compete was up, he bought it back, rehired the workers and got back at it. Truly a wonderful story.

Windham was started by the same folks who originall started Bushmaster.
