You did Daniel Defense for both barrel and gas block? Did you buy a complete upper or put it together yourself?

It was a complete upper. I was really attracted to the barrel as it is hammer forged. I am not disappointed by any means either. I want to try a Noveske 8" or AAC 8" too.
