What do you intend to do with it?
For example, I configured my first build into a CQB weapon, I have a red dot, Surefire light, and angled foregrip that I intend to use for home defense.
I want an 18" upper next that I plan on putting an actual scope on for 100-500 yards, although this weapon platform is capable of hitting targets at that range without optics, only iron sights.

I am going to use it for home defense, but I want to take it to the range to shoot and I will also use it to hunt. Not sure if that narrows it down much for you to give suggestions.
