Its not, with you anyway. Anyone with any sense sees the advantages of the AR platform in a home defense situation. But since you are apparently so closed minded about it, Ill let someone else argue with you. Do your thing man.

Well if my choices are Candlestick, Lamp, AR, I am selecting the AR. Good Luck with the candlestick.
A buddy of mine is a GB and was doing a lot of House to House in the Gulf War rounding up the "Deck of Cards" People. He used an AR, and so did his team. They all carried pistols, but the rifle is an awesome weapon...even in a house.
My next assembly is an SBR with a Can, and it will be set up for Home Defense. Gaston Glock can't carry the weight of the world.
