Daniel Defense DDM4 V5 I has one. I like it. I will put it up against just about any other AR out there.
One of the best ARs to have. Had 2 DDM4 V5's sold the LW version kept the other. Paid around 1400 and some change on both now they are going for 1800 to 2k

I'll be following and posting in this thread for the next two days regarding sales. There should be some good ones out there.

You guys seen these hellbreaker lowers? They're pretty cool looking but you're gonna pay for the "coolness" if you want one, about $300 for a billet lower.

I have no info on Spike's products save for the fact that I received a shipment notice from Spike's yesterday that my rifle will be at my FFL dealer on Monday. Ordered the rifle on black friday. I'll have an AR for sale once my Spike's is in the safe. Before I get grief over that, I promised my wife if she let me buy another AR as a place holder for my Spike's just in case they were outlawed I would sell my other AR after my Spike's came in.

Are y'all in the South Houston area(Clear Lake/League City)? I'm trying to find a good outdoor range.
Posted on 7/3/13 at 4:40 pm to LSUmakemewanna
There is a good range on the League City Expressway.
Clear Creek Gun Range
It opens at 12:00 on weekdays. I was there last Monday shooting on the 200 yd range.

It was good meeting you. Again, nice rifle! However, next time we go shoot, please stop trying to get me to come over for a sleepover. Its not cool, its creepy.

Alrighty, need help here
Is there an all inclusive list of what parts are needed for a complete build?
I've ordered a LPK, about to order a stripped lower.
When it comes to the upper, do you buy them assembled, partially assembled, not assembled at all?
If you were to buy a stripped upper, and ALL the parts necessary for assembly, what parts would you need? Do most people assemble the uppers themselves or just the lowers?
I'm having a hard time finding answers to these questions, not sure why, I think ive got a misunderstanding somewhere and need someone to straighten me out, no homo, dont fine me.

For the four I built i ordered complete uppers since i didn't want to fool with having to head space the barrels and i wasn't sure about the gas tube assembly. You probably end up saving money just buying the upper complete and ready to pin onto the lower. For the lower i just used standard lower parts kits and for the furniture i used magpul MOE. I would think that 70%+ people just assemble lowers.
ETA: I am really chomping at the bit to put together a .300 Blackout build.

Most people assemble stripped lowers themselves, and buy uppers. Building an upper is definately do-able. If you want to take a stab at it, you will need
Stripped upper, ejection port door (spring and pins), BCG, Charging handle, barrel (w/ flash hider or whatever you want on the end), correct length gas tube, gas block (w/ roll pin), your choice of rail (w/ barrel nut)
Rough list off the top of my head. Anyone feel free to correct.

yea screw building an upper. for me it's one time when doing it myself isn't worth any savings
Posted on 7/9/13 at 2:35 pm to jimbeam
True, you really wont save anything by assembling yourself.
If you just want an AR, definately buy an upper that is complete.
