I think I'm the only one who thinks 2.9 mill is way to much for a guy to be our DH who hit .197 last year w/ 98 hits in 160 games. Also a career .230 hitter and last 4 years were awful.

You don't even have to reach the Mendoza Line these days and they throw 3 mill at you.

And I can care less if he's a good clubhouse guy. That's garbage. I'd rather have a .300 hitter who never spoke to teammates.

He's a poor hitter, but using average, you're not accounting for his walks. Stupid.

Justin Morneau is getting paid 14 million this year, and he and Carlos Pena have a nearly identical career OBP.

Plenty of pitchers with sub .500 records and 5.00+ ERAs that are making significantly more than this.
