You just sound like a douche man. Put yourself in people who were affected by this shoes. Your life has been flipped on its head and people are making light of the situation?

Let me tell you what I wouldn't do.

I wouldn't watch southpark the week after it happened.

The mere mention of guns or schools isn't "making light of the situation." It's just idiot liberals (usually chicks) who think this.

For example, I was writing a show for the Discovery Health Channel, an awards show that honored people in medical community and elsewhere. One of them was (fat piece of shite) T. Wayne Bailey, the college professor who started the whole craze over smoking bans in private establishments.

To make it more entertaining (and believe me, that was a challenge), my angle was basically "if you think today's smoking laws are bad" and listed numerous horrible penalties throughout history during the dawn of smoking during colonial times, including Russia (slit your nostrils and sent to to a gulag), China (beheading) and Spain (life sentence in jail).

One of the (dumb bitch) producers kept shooting all of these ideas down, saying that people would be offended. She claimed that the beheading would remind people of the Nick Berg incident (which had happened a couple of months before), the Russian example was too violent and would offend people and the Spanish jail example would remind people of Abu Graib, and they'd be offended. Really? The mere fact that people were put in jail would remind people of that AND they'd be offended.

Some people just look for reasons to be offended, and think that everything they see has the potential to offend someone. In reality, there is no constructive purpose for this feeling, and people like these are the driving force behind pussification.
