Who here has been reading about this movie? It basically started as yet another West Memphis Three documentary a few years ago, this time by Peter Jackson. Then the kids get freed and Echols helps produce it once he is out.
I have always been intrigued by the Paradise Lost films. Do you think this will shed any new light or expose anything new? It is more focused on what the trial would be like if they hadnt been freed and actually received a new trial instead. Supposedly Jessie isn't too thrilled about Damien becoming a celebrity over this while he just chills in a trailer park in Arkansas still.
Then sometime next year is Devils Knot featuring Reese Witherspoon which is based on the book about the 3. Hopefully these 2 new films will attract enough attention to force the state to open the case again and find actual justice.

Arkansas isn't going to do anything of the sort.
I heard Echols on a podcast last week and he said that the state's estimated liability were the WM3 allowed to sue was somewhere in the neighborhood of $60 million.
Arkansas will be very happy to keep that Alford Plea on the books and let the real killer or killers stay free.
Eta: Anyone that is interested in the WM3 case would find this podcast fascinating. It's Mohr Stories. Jay Mohr's podcast. It was one day last week. Jay talks to DE for an hour or so. They go pretty deep.
