I think the genre of alien movies is the largest plot hole ever
You have to think. If a race is capable of reaching out planet, their technology must be obscenely far ahead of ours. They would absolutely pulverize us if there were any conflict. If they're capable of intergalactic travel, just imagine their weapons. We cant even put a man on mars
There's also the issue of whether or not they'd even think about letting us live. If they were that more intelligent than us, then what would be the point of letting us live? It would be the equivalent of us digging up an earthworm

Maybe there is no conflict on their planet, thus giving the race the unity to pursue space travel where as the human race has dedicated itself to the death and extinction of others, so our weapons are superior, but their travel technology is superior.

No the same but kind of like when the Decepticons hacked the US Defense network in seconds. The incredibly hot Australian brawd explained that it would take a super computer years to do it, and they did it with minimal effort.
