True but the message in alot of the songs may be the same or very similar. It's still country music. It may not be "good" country.
You usually see the same names near the top of everyone's list that loves the Outlaws...Haggard, Jones, Waylon, Willie. That may be the kind of music you like. I much prefer Jackson, Chesnutt, Lawrence. And even Eric Church. The point is it's all COUNTRY.

I don't consider rascall flats, Florida Georgia line, Jason aldean, etc country music, it's pop
