Real country music is music that isn't primarily written to be marketed towards a certain demo
So none of the Outlaw stuff is real country. That's clearly written toward a certain demographic.
Why is it that you won't admit just because you don't like what's coming out of Nashville today you think it's not country? It is country music. That's what country music is today.
Music changes overe time. What's being made in Nashville in 10 years WILL NOT be the same as it is today. That's fine if you don't like it. To each his own. I'm peronaly not a fan of most of it, although I do like Church and a couple others. I really like the 90s era.
You still haven't answered my question. So what are some of the artists/bands you consider country? Both now and in the past?

I disagree. It's more about: life as a "working man," love, and having a good time. Not so much killing people and robbing banks. It was called the outlaw movement because they were rebelling against the machine.
