Did I miss anything in particular about the 42oz wonder called the 1911?
My avatar may be a 1911 but I didn't recommend one if you read my whole shpeel.
The reason I dislike Glock isn't because of looks. Here's my reasoning; cons
Grip is too wide and horribly devoid of "ergonomics" as they are referred
Grip angle is horribly exaggerated and does not point naturally for me or most human beings
Sights are made of plastic out of the box. Seriously?
Sights utilize a "U-Dot" that no other gun uses because it sucks
Serrations aren't nearly aggressive enough and don't work well for me
But I would be a dick not to include the pros:
High capacity in pretty much all calibers
Magazines are cheap
Used Glocks are very affordable
The tennifer coating on the barrels is amazing
They just work
I may be a bit anti-Glock because I hate them so much but regular people fail to notice there are other good handguns on the market that have all of the features a Glock has that make it reliable, while also being ergonomic and made for the human hand. And I'll hold with my 3 recommendations that have these things called "ergonomics." The Glock formula is a simple one - loose tolerances, polymer frame.
