Kirby Smart has had multiple stops with Saban. So has Scott Cochran. Burton Burns has been with Saban for all six years at Bama and he's had opportunities to leave.

I was talking more about coaches that have left for other opportunities and came back. Kirby Smart has been with Nick Saban since 2001. Scott Cochran was with strength and conditioning from 2000-2004 (I beleive), then went to the New Orleans Hornets, before coming to Alabama in 2007. Burton Burns just has the one stint with Nick Saban, as far as I know.

Off Topic:
In the Spring of 2001 after Saban's first 8-4 tour at LSU, I saw Sal Sunseri, Sunseri's wife, and their 3 boys waiting to get seated at the Ruby Tuesday's on College Drive.
Sunseri was hired by Michigan State that day for a lateral coaching move. The entire family was decked out in Michigan State gear.
This led me to think the first tour of Sunseri's stint with Saban did not end well.

I don't understand why he would go back to the NFL. Didn't he get everything he demanded (i.e. total organizational control) in Miami? And it still didn't work out for him.

If Saban leaves for the Browns, and decides to quit after two years, how fast would Alabama kick their current coach to the curb to rehire him immediately?
