A few facts for those who care (and yes a good many do, 2000+ season ticket holders) Nikki is x0-2 vs tulane... LSU was 27-4 before this vs tulane!!! The loss to Hampton was worst rpi loss in 11 years Nikki is doing worse than van ( go ahead anti van fans fire away) by most any count and she has had two recruiting years now Pokey killed the program but Nikki is not helping, its hard to watch for all the money she is paid.. Sanitsfan22 help me really, what is the half full version now...seriously, is this year a wash now?
A few facts............................ Nikki is hardly doing worse than Van. After his first season the team finished, 19-11 (lost in 2nd rd NCAA), 21-10 (lost in 2nd rd of NCAA), 19-13 (no NCAA tournament; lost in quarterfinal of SEC tournament). In her first season, Nikki went 24-11.....made the championship game of the SEC tournament and lost in the 2nd rd of the NCAA tournament. I could care less about them losing to Tulane and Hampton in December / November.............especially with a young team. I honestly thought this WOULD be a rebuilding season with the departure of five seniors who all got significant playing time .............three of which were starters. This team is going to struggle early on with consistency because so many players are freshmen, or are getting significant minutes for the first time in their careers. What WILL be interesting is how she has them playing once we get into mid January. But to think this year is "a wash" already, is laughable. The program will be fine. But she is going to have to use those five scholarships she has for next season and try and bring in another top class. She's already got one early commit. I expect she'll get a few more for next season. Nikki will be fine. Thankfully, the powers that be were smart enough to get Van outta there before we slid completely into the abyss and became another LaTech.

Saintsfan22. I like teen mom and stern so I guess we are lot more alike than we would expect. I did not love van but appreciate him stabilizing the program after perhaps the most selfish unethical acts in the history of women's CB by pokey...who is the one who almost killed us. Van stayed one year too long and did not recruit well but he took us to a ff and steadied us. Glad he is gone now but am very disappointed in nc so far on and off the court. Obviously you and alum96 and me follow the program very closely. So how do you feel nc is doing so far?

Went to the game, and came away with one observation. It was the first woman's game I've watched since Seimone was there. I was very impressed with Theresa Plaisance. And that concludes my one and only obvservation of the women's basketball team over the next 10 years or so.

Yeah...the sky is not falling. This team will be 8-3 going into Christmas with plenty to play for. They have two major recruits inked for next year. People forget that Krystal Forthan should be here but she flaked out and transferred. 6 seniors leave...kinda hard to expect it all to come together by December. Ballard is a baller...she is the real deal. Baker can't stay out of trouble...so there is another body missing. I'm glad some of you here are not in charge of making decisions...I am a 20+ year fan and follower and I am pleased with what the future holds and I think we have a great coach in place. Also, recall last year when everyone had written the team off at 4-5 in SEC play, the coach led them to 6 straight wins and got them to NCAAs. Give her a shot....

A downward spiral isn't stabilization.

Fine. With little left to her by Van it wasn't going to be an overnight build.

We got it you don't like the fact Nikki Caldwell is LSU's coach. You run to the rant every time there is a loss. Where were you when the team won the tournamant? Or beat the higher ranked team? To make a conclusion about the program under her or her coaching ability at this point is border line retarded or part of an agenda. She just took a team to the second round of the NCAA in her first year. This is her second year. You can go back through any hall of fame coach's record and find similar losses in their career. If nitwits like you were in control they would never have built a career to reach the hall of fame. Despite you bias, Nikki Caldwell is and will continue to be great for LSU. Fans like you need to get over it. She is our coach, love it or leave it. We don't need you.

Was Pokey poking players that bad? At least we were going to final fours.
Yes, I would say it was a bad thing. If that is how you would like your program's image to be, there is a school for you in PA
