Yeah dude, let me beg forgivemess for having different tastes than you. I'm sure Scorsese's gangster movie was much better. Or was it his other gangster movie? Or his other gangster movie? Or his other gangster movie? Or his other gangster movie? How about I just pick a generic list of the greatest oldschool directors and pick the movies I'm "supposed" to like because that's what everyone else said. The movie had massive critical acclaim, massive mainstream success, multiple Oscar nominations, yet from half the comments around here it was unfit for the screen. Can't stand Kubrick's films. The Coens put out some good stuff, but nothing I'd count amongst my favorites. This is going to be a fun ride.

iwy, for someone so in tune with the work of the masters, the irony of my original post playing on the pretentiousness of a handful of people on here has gone so far over your head that it's disappointing. Of course, it does lack the insight and brilliance of a post like "Would you rather be a bear or a shark?"

lots of weird shite for sure, but barry lyndon and dr. strangelove aren't that weird
