re: Juno

I have only seen Juno once, shortly after it came out. My initial impression from even the previews/ trailers was that it was trying to be an edgy film about a controversial issue. This led me to think that the entire subject matter is contrived with the intents of being edgy to gain attention and to fit some sort of trendy pop persona. When I viewed it I thought it was a solid movie but not particularly memorable. I kinda already had my preconceived notions going into it though.

Your passion for it makes me want to rewatch it to see if I missed something special, but based on your prior comments in this thread I think we may just have different tastes in movies.
