no other sec schools like alabama, florida, georiga have to compete against other state powerhouses for recruits, you guys have nobody to compete against and yet those other schools beat you in football. clemson for example recruits better than sc outside of the state but they beat us in the state so it does dilute both of our talent pools but you guys are basically getting every good recruit in louisiana. i wish we had that kind of problem LOL

Tulane was one hell of a big rivalry when they were in the SEC. Tulane took GT exist as a way out of the SEC due to grade requirements. Both schools went independent, then joined the Metro Conference, and GT was invited to the ACC. Whoever convinced Tulane to leave the SEC needs to rot in his grave. Tulane isn't revelent in any college sport.

Actually there was a time when tulane was better than lsu for a while and were ranked. But lsu has always pretty much been the big brother, such as u.s.c. to clemson.

Some of the teams we beat last year: Oregon, W.Virgina, Florida, Tennessee, Auburn, Bama, Arkansas, and Georgia in the SEC CG.

Before Nick Saban came to LSU in 2001, we couldn't keep our best players in-state.

Saban said he came to LSU because of all the in-state talent. When he left for the NFL, Miles continued to bring in 90% of the top in-state talent and has taken our recruiting program national.

Miles has 8 four-star commitments from out of state so far this year.

This is the golden era of LSU football.
