Moving to the SEC has truly catapulted A&M into a new level of recruiting. Before long, they will have first pick of the Texas crop over UT.

Man, did Sumlin walk into a great situation, or what?

No joke. It's been a perfect storm for A&M. They make the move to the SEC with low expectations, a roster quietly filled with very talented guys (Manziel, Matthews, Joeckel, Demontre Moore, that WR Evans), and at a time when Texas, TCU, and Texas Tech are all kinda down right now in comparison to where those programs have been in the last 5-10 years.

Sumlin did walk into a great great situation, but that doesn't take away from the job he's done. He put together a very good staff (Kingsbury in particular) and they really played all year above what anybody could have imagined. Props to the Aggies, but frick em. I hope they fall back to earth next year.

Yes, but he's also making the most of that situation. Not just any coach could've done what he's done this season.

Man I was just thinking this , one year ago the Aggies were not even on the map. I can see them being a bigger player with La players than Bama soon. What a difference a year can make.
