Barbe has to make a commitment to playing defense. Two things they need to do is put some athletes on that side of the ball. Also they seem like they make very few defensive adjustments during the game. Just an opinion. West Monroe and Barbe lost this year because of defense. Rummel won it all because of defense and Damian Williams. Rummel's defense was solid all year even though they were undersized. Their defense won that game last night. Hats off to them.

West Monroe did not lose because of defense. WM lost because they had 5 turnovers, including 2 onside kicks, and Barbe had 0. WM held Barbe to 14 in the first half, both TDs on big plays. Then for some reason they went prevent the entire 2nd half and allowed Barbe to score. Baffling.

i have said this to multiple people. no attempt to stop the run.

against WM, that weak 3-4 defense got blown off the line at least 3 yds every snap. and absolutely no adjustment was made in the 2nd half. And it sounds like the exact same thing happened Sat night.

they had a pretty great D last year (i think they held WM to like 25 yards in the 2nd half of their playoff game last year) and should have a good D next year. this was just a bad year for talent and they weren't good

that's why it took a miracle to go to the dome
