Got to say I haven't watched much of the hornets this year but watching them tonight against Memphis and rivers is looking much better than I ever expected tonight.

I guess he can be productive when his shots fall. Let's hope this continues.

If he continues to work on the corner 3, mid range jumper & his follower. He could ave 15 & 5 easy

I like the progression. On that one cross over and lay in he actually looked like an NBA guard.

I think he does end up being a 15/5 guy with good work ethic and character. I'll take that at #10.

Rivers is much more comfortable going right compared to going left. He goes right 9 out of 10 times. Conley leaned towards his comfortable side and dared Rivers to go left and that's exactly what he did.

Rivers has a tendency to go right even if the opposing defense is defending his right side. It was very nice to see him take what the defense gave him and went left. I liked how his crossover is just as lethal going left as it is going right.

One more thing to keep in mind, the amazing space on that play. On that left side of the court where river penetrated, Ryan Anderson and Jason Smith created space due to their threat as shooters. Gay didn't even attempt to leave Anderson and Smith caused Randolph to hesitate just enough to let Rivers get to the basket before he could recover.

Rivers game can be deadly with proper spacing. During that play, the lineup included: Roberts, Miller, Anderson, and Smith. All shooters and defenses can not sag too much.

the optimal lineup for Rivers to utilize his penetration ability would require 5 shooting threat/spacers on the court.

He had a bad first half. Couldn't get any separation. Hard to blame him though when our offense is make one pass then dribble a lot.

He attacked the rim well last night, and that is good to see.
