If they offered I guess, but that seems way too much for something that's a normal operational issue.

That's their stated policy. I went and bought some clothes and submitted the receipts and they paid me back. It was about $65-80

Imagine you take your car into the shop for some mechanical trouble. They say that they should be able to get it ready tomorrow by noon. You show up at noon, and they say it will be just another 15-20 mins.
"oh no, I need the car now. Give me a car, then deliver my car to my house, & I don't want to pay for anything because it's late.

I hate flying back from the West Coast. A noon flight from LAX gets me into BTR at 10:25pm.

Delta lost my bag when I flew in for my wedding... Had my suit but did not have shoes, belt, or anything to wear for rehearsal dinner. They paid for about 400$ worth of shite.. Bag came in abut 6 hours before the wedding

same here
I fly to san fran monday and back friday next week...I get home at 10:30 pm of course  I may try to jump a really early flight to see if I can connect earlier, though.

FTR, I didn't demand anything and their policy is that they will reimburse you for expenses incurred up to $50/day if your bag is delayed/lost more than 12 hours.
I landed at SFO at 3pm, they told me the bag wouldn't make it until the midnight flight and that delivery wouldn't have it to my hotel until the morning.

I am insanely jealous of your luck with delta vouchers. I never seem to be on full flights but I still proactively volunteer for bumping. Delta was about to bump the SO & I last month from ATL to Charleston for a $200 voucher each to wait an hour, then about 10 min before we got switched the Charleston airport shut down for the entire evening due to the radar breaking

Don't expect to fall asleep, lean on me and not get shoulder checked or farted on, or both.
Above all, act like you've been on a got damn plane before.
