Can someone please explain to a nub why the heck it's called Toonces? My parents are LSU grads and neither heard of that.

Because it looks like a kid's cartoon called Toonces.
Also, we say "noob" for newbie not "nub".

Toonces came from a SNL sketch called Toonces the Driving Cat. The actual logo that is "Toonces" shows his arms.
