Agreed on the fans being hosed....however, as a fan I can handle this. What I don't want is this witch hunt to cause the organization to go into a tailspin and ruin it long term. Not likely to happen, but a possibility. Losing those draft picks are key in my opinion. They are the biggest punishment to this team and they need to be returned if there's not enough proof to sentence for the violations.

They can't compensate us any more than a apology, and it's horse shite. We pay to see the team, which as fans we will always stand behind, but the performance isn't up to normal standards due to this bounty fiasco. Really sucks.

All we can hope for is that next season this team comes out fired up more than ever, and plays out of their minds pissed off. I think Payton will probably have some new tricks up his sleeve as well.

So, if, and he won't, tags decides this was all a witch hunt and has no merit, how could they possibly compensate the fans who got screwed here (particularly season ticket holders)

At best you get the 2013 2nd round back and a compensatory 2nd rounder.

You're right, nothing you can do. We got screwed and basically lost a season in Brees' prime. Nothing about that doesn't suck.

Nothing really to do about it now but get fired the F up for next season.

Which reminds me... what's happening with Payton's contract?

They should let every single Saints fan anal rape Goodell, one by one.

This is why you will never see the NFL admit that they were completely wrong. Tags wont wipe all the punishments away and give us back draft picks. It looks too bad on the NFL's side.

I agree, I said countless times when it first happened that the real victims of the punishment were the fans.

what other business punishes their consumer like that?

The NBA and Stern........Oh wait.

Tags will uphold the findings of the league and Goodell. Period.

I would agree, but now there is a federal judge looming in the background that Tags will have to consider, which I think forces the league to walk back most of this fiasco since it's clear they have no evidence other than a pissed of ex employee. How they do that and save face, I dont know.

Thats really the key. Does Taglibue want to risk this going full on into court and having to release Ceurillo's testimony and..... and.... whitty rhetoric?

Let suppose Tags does overturn the suspensions to "time served". Why wouldn't Vilma press on? Basically, they are admitting guilt. Vilma would be a fool not to.

The best thing that can happen is to have the league settle with Vilma in exchange for keeping his mouth shut, give the draft picks back, make a statement considering the matter closed and the Saints off the hook, and make this all go away. The damage is done. Thats a lot more face saving than risking going to court and losing, or even just having to fully disclose the evidence against the team and having it be 50,000 copies of Ceurillos testimony.

I may have a stroke if they impose further sanctions for next season just because they can. I am scared of what these fricks could do based on the bullshite this year.

The NBA and Stern

Actually stern heavily fined the spurs for sitting players because of what "the fans wanted to see". Roger on the other hand sabotages a season and doesn't care that he took away the hope of a lot of fans. Goodell falls into the category of trying too hard to put his name down and leave a legacy instead of actually doing what's right.
