LSU helmets are awesome just the way they are.

You need to become an Oregon fan.

I absolutely agree and have been saying that for years!!!! Our helmet is stale. Use the Geaux font - the current letters look like they're stuck on with electrical tape. The tiger is unrecognizable. I'm all for tradition, but our helmets were changed twice in the 70's to the current design and it needs some tweakening just to freshen it up a bit. Same goes for the jersey sleeve stripes. They're cut off and look absurd. Plus, the shades of purple on the helmet and jersey don't match. Somebody just needs to pay a little attention to this and get it right.

We just need to have our helmet and uniform look the best it can, and right now it doesn't. We need a logo that's cool, unique, and instantly recognizable. Does the helmet tiger do that? Does Toonces? No, but the tiger eye does. And it rocks. And it's our midfield logo. We need to adopt that as our logo.

Our current crap is just lame. Plus, we don't really have a phrase or sign that's uniquely LSU. Lots of others do (Roll Tide, War Eagle, Hook em Horns, the Gator chomp, the Seminole's tomahawk chop, etc). But we've got nothing but a lame logo and "Go Tigers." Yawn.

So I'd at least like a cool logo on our helmet (like the Tiger eye) and we can keep the lettering up there but use the Geaux font.
