Because NCAA wouldn't allow that font on the helmets. Although they do allow Oregon to look like a bunch of douchers so I am not sure why not.

there's a reason that the football team is the only sport at LSU that hasn't been re-branded with the newer font and logo...
And if you don't know why, then it might be time to go cheer for Oregon
