To the unknownkight, according to your mindset, CLM is a lying, coniving, unethical, unloyal, unprincipaled SOB. I feel the opposite is the case. One thing that he's always gotten credit for is his high character & principals, as well as being a great father & family man in general.
Oh please. I did the same thing as Miles this year several times. I don't think what he did was WRONG. My posts are directed at those tards gullible enough to think Miles was simply given a raise SOLELY based on merit. A person would have to be willfully ignorant to believe that. If that was true why not BEFORE 1/9? And who cares if he complains if his pay is a few dollars too low for a few years. HE signed the contract. Let him fulfill at least half of it before renegotiating it. This isn't complicated. Miles is human. He likes money. He is not Mother Teresa or Jesus.

LSU under Les Miles is one of the most overrated teams in the nation. Rivals did an article a while back. Les disappoints yearly, finishing lower than where he starts in the preseason.
I'm not reading through 10 pages to see if this has been covered yet. And even though I doubt this thread has even a semblance of decent LSU talk at this point (I haven't read past page 1), I am going to post this regardless. Here is LSU's preseason and end of season ranks according to the AP poll every season since Les has been here... Year - Preseason Rank - End of Season Rank 2012 - 3 - Currently 7, pending bowls 2011 - 4 - 2 2010 - 21 - 8 2009 - 11 - 17 2008 - 7 - Unranked 2007 - 2 - 1 2006 - 8 - 3 2005 - 5 - 6 If we take 3 games as a "close enough" prediction, then Les' teams had outperformed expectations in 2006 and 2010, while falling short of expectations in 2008 and 2009 (note, I am assuming we win our bowl game and finish at least 6th, bc I'm an optimist). If we go off of straight rankings, LSU overperformed in 2006, 2007, 2010, and 2011, while underperforming in 2005, 2008, 2009, and 2012. Pretty damn even. While it would be difficult to argue that Les has his team overplay their expectations on a consistent basis, saying that they consistently underplay them is absurd, and shows a true, unrelenting bias that will prevent you from ever being objective in any discussion concerning our coach

That sums you up nicely. Coaches who take injury riddled teams and come a defensive lapse away from playing for the SEC title and who go 23-3, 15-2 in their last two years get a pay raise. I would have thought someone as smart as you think you are would understand something so simple.

I try to block that game out of my mind and move on, but at the risk of dredging up bad memories, that should serve as another example of why no player or coach is greater than LSU as an individual, nor is he indispensable, or irreplaceable.
