I think it's beneficial in college to at least have escapability from the pocket. I want a guy who's gonna sit back and look to throw it but can bail last second if the play breaks down. That's where mett is lacking. If nobody is open or the play breaksdown , chances are he gets sacked.

he was cast from the Dan mould...Marino and Fouts.
I could be wrong, but he seems to stand flat-footed in the pocket. if so, coaches need to get him to practice heels up. it does wonders for footwork, release and improves your first step.
