I think we will fare better with coach BB's style than some think. We should be able to get the players to pound the ball. We will need better o-line depth. BB has managed to break into Florida and get a few kids to UW, Arkansas should be a easier sell. We grow some pretty good running backs in state(Mcfadden,Hillis,Dyer,Tenpenny and etc.)He needs to keep them here.
Don't forget from 2005-2008 Arkansas led the league in rushing.
I'm more concerned about getting the defensive players we need. Maybe he can bring some big safties and linebackers down from up north.

It's an LSU message board. LSU fans are going to discuss it. I've seen plenty of positive posts from LSU fans regarding the hire. Calm down. No one is insecure about Arky.

I guess I don't understand why LSU, Bama, Auburn, and Tennessee care so much? Who cares? It was our hire, and we're happy with him. I just find it hilarious that these other schools' fan bases think it was such a terrible hire and yet they can't stop talking about him.
If you think it was so bad, shouldn't you be excited? I would celebrate if a rival school made such a terrible hire.

i really don't give a damn what russfriggin' mitchell says (whoever he is). i think he's wrong. i am sorry to say i think arky made a darn good hire and a great one if he hires good recruiters. arky has the money to recruit regionally and is surrounded by some excellent football areas. i'm afraid they will be at least as good as petrino.

The most overfricking blown thing in hiring a new coach is the negatives of a guy not having recruited a certain area.
So if he thinks the hire is so terrible, he must think BB didnt do a good job at Wisconsin. Because under him they had the best 3 year stretch in their history and their first 11 win regular season
