Pulled the Trigger

Nega-tigers and Sunshine pumpers both are disappointed by the SEC screwing LSU to reward other teams...AGAIN.
However, after giving it much thought, I decided that I loved LSU more than I resented the hosing the Conference gives us by going to bat for other teams. That being the case, I pulled the trigger today.
Round-trip airfare still available? CHECK! Room in the Hilton downtown? CHECK ! Dinner reservations at Morton's? CHECK! Tickets in hand? CHECK !
So....wife and I are donning the Purple and Gold and going to show Tiger Pride and bring back an 11 win season.
I hope a lot of other people eventually "get over it" and show up. We have been against Georgia in this stadium...essentially out numbered and in their own backyard and I can recall the LSU fans shouting down the GA fans and cheering LSU to victory. We are essentially in Clemson's backyard again. I think we need a good showing from fans and fan support.
To all the Nega-tigers and even the hurt fan.....ask yourself what I did. What is more important....supporting the team we love or being pissed because we should have drawn a Cotton Bowl bid?

Not bad really. Air and hotel was $ 1,100.00. Had I done this 3 days ago, would've been $800, but I was still pissed.

Excellent post. Sadly, I probably will not be there this time.

I can't go either way. But if I could I would have bought the ticket immediately.
This whole concept of not supporting LSU in the last game of the season because you believe the SEC screwed us is dumb.
I've said it before, but we only get a handful of games in a season. Over the next few months you will be wishing you could watch football, and those who chose not to go because of us getting 'screwed' will look back and be upset they didn't attend one more game. I'll be laughing at those people.

Nice post! I'd definitely be there if I didn't have to work during the day on NYE. Last game and no more football for 8 months!
