Nobody should be getting worked up about this article. It says "a report by yahoo sports said Strong may stay at Louisville".

Did y'all read that report? It's by Pat Forde. Go read it. Now. I'll wait till you get back.

You're back now? Okay, so what did the article by Pat Forde say? Yes yes, I agree that it said absolutely nothing. Indeed, it even included words like "hope" and "optimistic". It was so wishy washy that (a) it could never even be considered inaccurate and (b) I have no idea why Pat Forde even wrote the article. I suppose it's a slow news day.

ETA: Here is the Forde article Forde Article That Says Nothing

That's fine and dandy.

He sure didn't break anything with this article because it didn't say anything.

Do y'all think Strong will take advantage of a weak ACC and wait until the UGA or USCe job opens up?

He could. But I'm not sure he could take advantage of a weak ACC. I would imagine he knows that his team this year isn't really that good, and would have struggled mightily outside the Big East. You'd think he would want to sell high.

Or not. I don't know a goddamn thing.

That would be a worse hire than Chizik. He's got a losing record in whatever conference WKU is in.

He beat Arkansas State and Kentucky with basically a FCS team.

didn't someone on here who claimed to have ties to the Strong family adamantly say that Charlie Strong was not leaving Louisville this year?

here's that thread from November 11th.

The coach at UT is going to be Gruden in my opinion. This is unfolding the same way the Saban hire unfolded. Remember Rich Rod? Gruden still has a job for a few more weeks.

Gruden is coming to UT.

I doubt Strong would turn down the Tennessee job. If he isn't coming, it's because he wasn't offered.

When Tennessee hires a coach, the truth should be obvious. If it's Fedora or Butch Jones, we've obviously been rejected by several different guys.

I would be supportive of this.

I would, too.

edit: By that, I mean I would be supportive of that if I was a Georgia fan. I think Strong would do very well.
