I'm sure it's been discussed before but I couldn't find it. I have a son who will be 7 in Feb and he has a PS2 at his Mom's. I wanted to buy him something for Christmas but am not sure what my best option is. Thanks

I would say a Wii U for a 7 year old. More kids games and it's the newest system out. You get a PS3 or Xbox and you chance them coming out with the next gen system next year or so.

Good luck finding a WiiU though.

The new xboxs and play stations are coming out next holiday season. So personally so wouldn't get one of those. If its a younger kid, I would like at a Wii anyway. You can get one for less than 100$ and you can stock up on games

My opinion is to get him whatever the new handheld Nintendo thing is. Maybe the DS is the newest. Not sure. But get him that and then in a year or two the new Xbox or play station system

I feel like he would probably like the handheld better and much more games for kids and they are cheaper.

Whatever you do I hope your kid has a great Christmas

The WiiU will be the only console currently on the market that will still be supported for the next 6 years and the games are aimed at kids his age.
