This. So far the ban crowd have proved completely incompetent when it comes to firearm knowledge. With the first ban they gauged a weapon's danger by how it was accessorized instead of it's rate of fire and ease of use. Let's hope they stay dumb.

Did you read where they were up to 80 rounds of .556 on the lower with consistent failure at the rear take down pin? Thats enough right there to print any throw away weapon. I guess thats why they stoped working on lowers until he gets his licenses from the feds.

Yea the video is in OP. lower receiver test part 2. Hopefully they grt their FFL license soon cause that is when it will get really fun to watch

Not sure this will get around government restrictions as much as we think. The government already openly spies on all Internet traffic. Won't take much to figure out who's downloading and printing out an illegal firearm.
You could still transfer files on USB drives using computers that aren't connected to the Internet, but then you're dealing with transferring physical contraband. Still doable (see drugs or moonshine) but it's not as easy.

I've linked this before but in the same spirit this guy made an AK from a shovel. The AK is very simple to work on with basic tools, that's why it's so popular in remote areas of the world.
You don't need software or a 3D printer at all. If guns were banned the black market for them would be gigantic. I would think way bigger than the drug market we have failed to contain. Trillions could be wasted trying to stop it.

Interesting.
Remember the movie "In The Line Of Fire" where the bad guy made a wooden gun that used springs instead of gunpowder? Just out of curiosity, would that be possible or did they take some license with the physics?

It would take me about 3 minutes to start using the internet anonymously. It's not very hard to do.

It's shockingly easy to go shields up. Now, N S A can get into the encryption, but it adds a layer of security/complexity that makes casual interception much more difficult.

Josh, this printing technology is also going to be used for so much more including medicine. It is fascinating what this technology is capable of doing (as well as rather scary.)

Those springs were for the firing pins. The ammunition was conventional.
