Of course the schedule matters...it's one thing to say we're powerless to change our current state, why should we be so eager to roll over and be ok with it?
LSU has been beating the drum forever--get rid of the permanents. Maybe the other 10 members will finally cast a vote against Alabama/Tennessee and Georgia/Auburn. You wanna play that bad--when it's off the rotation, schedule it as an out-of-conference game.

Why would they, those games are still historic rivalry games. FWIW I like the fact that we play Florida every year. It's one of the regular season games that I look forward to the most and I would hate to trade that game to play Kentucky or Vandy.

Play all the tough games you want but don't expect to play in any kind of title game if your direct competitor doesn't play the same schedule. BTW, fans want better OOC opponents, SEC schedule should be fair.
That is exactly the wrong argument. You can beat Bama and lose to Ga and Fla and still Bama will be in the title game. More importantly, when you play 2 more tough games it makes it more difficult to beat Bama, it takes a lot out of the team, not to mention injuries.

So was Nebraska/Oklahoma too. And that game went away. And we wouldn't lose the Florida game all the time. Just rotate the schedules so each team has one traditional power on their schedule from the other division each year.

If I recall, this is the same fanbase that complained about LSU scheduling to many boring cupcake games earlier this year so lots of you made your way to the exits after halftime. So I ask you, what do you as a fanbase want? More exciting SEC games that are fun to watch to the end or boring cupcake games?
it puts us at a competitive disadvantage for Alabama to get UT and UK while LSU gets UGA and UF. In an ideal world, we would play a touch team every week like the NFL, but that isn't the way college football works.

As far as complaining about the Bama bias, while some of that may be true and I do realize that Bama has been only called for a holding penalty once since 1977,but PLEASE STOP COMPLAINING, enjoy the games and go out and support LSU
I just want to hear a reasonable explanation for Bama getting UK while LSU gets UGA.
you think it was a coincidence that UGA and Bama made the SECCG with the easiest schedules? Florida has a bigger reason to be upset than we do this year, but I can't understand why the SEC gave us UGA next year

With the SEC championship game, Alabama ended up playing 3 of the top 4 teams in the league and finishes with the 3rd hardest schedule in the nation this year
playing an easier schedule helps you get to the SECCG.
If UF had made the SECCG, they would have played LSU, Bama, Texas A&M, South Carolina, Georgia, and Fl. State. Almost half their games would have been against top 10 teams.
LSU would have played Bama, A&M, South Carolina, Georgia, and UF.
So Bama playing 2 hard teams during the SEC regular season schedule isn't really fair. I don't have much of a problem with permanent opponents, I do have a problem with the SEC giving Bama UK in the bridge year while sending LSU to UGA when we are already at a disadvantage.

i have a breakdown of the teams LSU and Alabama have played since 2000. The difference is not that great if you throw out the permanent teams.

why would you throw out permanent teams?
What does that have to do with the SEC giving Bama UK during the bridge year and sending LSU to UGA when both were scheduled to play UGA?

You might as well add the NC game too !!. The issue is to make fair for every teams and give them equal opportunity to get to the SEC title game and the NC game. Once you are there any team has a chance to win it. You wouldn't get into a race with someone if you have take the mountain road and your opponent a different road, would you?

Breaking news... Many LSU fans are whiners. It;s probably the same losers who leave LSU games at half or 3rd quarter

How can you believe that bama has a more difficult schedule than LSU. You get those sissyboys in Knoxville and we get the Gators. Don't be an a#$# OK? Second, we played South Carolina and who was your eastern opponent?
Don't come in here and act like a moron.

Why do you think this? Do you think they just flip a coin to determine the winner? One team still has to go out there and beat the other. Just like during the regular season, you've got to beat the teams put in front of you. Do that and you don't have to worry about anyone else's schedule.
