Something to think about regarding bowl selection....

Yes, many folks aren't happy with this bowl, including myself. But, this season is a perfect example of why we need an 8 team playoff. If that's the case Miles has us in a position to win the NC but instead we have a bunch of unhappy fans about going to Chic fi la. Its all just a beauty contest now. That's messed up, some things need to change in college football...this postseason how it is is ruining our sport in my opinion.

LSU would not be among the teams in a 8/team playoff anyway, so what's your point?

I think the match up with Clemson is a great one! We did not win our division and lost 2 conference games. It does suck Bama, Georgia and Florida had easier schedules. And next year seems to have LSU with another tough schedule. But I'm cool because of the problems, injuries and struggles we've had at QB. I'm not a fan of teams playing in the NC game if you can 't win your conference.

I'm not new to the bowl selection process, so I know this is nothing new. But as time has gone on the worse it gets. NIU deserves a BCS but all these 10-2 SEC teams don't? Just is BS. We are 8th in the BCS at the moment....so if that's how the picks would be made(like they are now) we are in.

We didnt win our conference.. not even our division. How can a team like that stake its claim for the NC?
Besides how do you choose 8 teams. Winners of BCS conferences or top 8? Is a team like Wisc included?

The schedules are made years in advance.I remember when Kentucky was a powerhouse.Wasn't long ago Auburn was NC's.This year LSU beat Auburn 12-10 and Bama crushed them 49-0.We can't blame others for the position we find ourselves.If you don't like the results then change the way you are doing things.LSU just needs to win like Bama.

Can you really say this team is NC worthy?
I don't think so, which is why we don't need a 8 team playoff.
I'd be all for four 16 team conferences and having semifinals between pods within conferences for a conference championship. That is essentially a sweet 16. Then take 4 conference winners in a playoff.
