Not saying I don't love going 10-2 and wanting more, thats a good place in terms of expectations for your program.

I'll use the example the OP did, Bama. If Bama wins on a soft schedule, like last year, they still win. A year later they are the defending champs and nobody is saying "they did it on a weak schedule." I would rather win on a weak schedule than play a grueling schedule and lose like we did last year.
