Yeah, I tried to ignore his original statement. Of course people turn down bowls for hopes of better. All the time.

I can understand that but what bowl did Tech think they were going to get??? Indy Bowl is a mid tier bowl. It's not a bottom feeder. At least I don't think of it as a Bottom feeder or lesser bowl. People make fun of the name or city but it's still a good bowl, have a long history, etc.

That's why I'm thinking it's more to do with playing ULM than the bowl.

Teams like La Tech turn down bowls all of the time in hopes of a better bowl? Not so fast my friend. That school coming out of the WAC can't really afford to sample the menu.

And now, they're sitting at home.
