The philosophy of Alleva and CLM has always been WE WILL PLAY ANYONE ANYWHERE. They let the other teams jostle and gripe about matchups and play the prima donna.

I am grateful that our coach and AD have enough class not to whine about rematches (whether they beg for one--Bama--or gripe about one--USCe). We are going to Jerry World in August to open the season against TCU anyway--the second time in three seasons we will have opened the season there. Why? Because WE WILL PLAY ANYONE ANYWHERE.

We have OU--O-frickin-U--on the schedule for a home and home this decade. We have an opening in 2014 where we could possibly play in Dallas or Atlanta to open the season again. We've also scheduled Arizona State and NC State. I love that. We always schedule non-conference games with other BCS conferences that other schools in our league won't touch.

We just played Oregon AND WV away from home last year. Why? Because WE WILL PLAY ANYONE ANYWHERE.

This is who we are and what defines us as a program. Bring it, Tiger Fans! Let's take this attitude to Atlanta New Year's Eve with the full knowledge that we'll be at Cowboys Stadium for a marquee matchup to start the season next year all because

WE WILL PLAY ANYONE ANYWHERE.

The only thing in your post I agree with is this...

Appreciate your spirit, but I'm not getting pumped for this matchup. My only care for the game is that we win so that we can stay in the top 10 or maybe move up to the top 5. 70% of the fricking bowl games are meaningless, and I'm not about to pretend otherwise.

That said, anyone talking about a boycott is a fricking retard. At least take the money.

Your post makes way too much sense. This thread will not get far. People are venting. Come back in a day or two. (Week or two?)

And - if we spend lots of money in Atlanta, then next year we might get rewarded with the Gator Bowl! Whoopee!!

How can people complain about Clemson when they were pumped all week about maybe playing Texas in the Cotton Bowl? Clemson gonna Clemson but they'd house Texas.

Bc even in a down year, theres more prestige in beating Texas than Clemson. And we wouldn't play Texas in the CFA bowl.

Texas is a bigger name but a 5 loss unranked Texas team? CFA is about 18 hours too early, that's about the only thing I see that makes a LSU/Texas Cotton bowl better.

I would not decline an invite. One of our best teams stayed home in 69 because they got too picky.
