The only way he gets fired is if Powers is fired too.
It's essentially the same thing as A&M pre-2002:
It took Ray Bowen leaving and Robert Gates taking over to finally get rid of Wally Groff...and it took getting rid of Wally Groff to finally remove the last thing protecting R.C. Slocum.
