Apparently you aren't around now. In the 90's LSU was running a shoe string AD, had lousy facilities, bad coaches that were paid lower than counterparts at other schools oh yeah, had 8 losing seasons in 11 years.

Today we have state of the art facilities are making far great revenue and putting it back into the program and paying for top flight coaches. The kids we are recruiting now were born in the mid 90's. They grew up with LSU being a power house and ND being nothing. Notre Dame didn't even recruit La as well as Bama is now when they were a top flight program. You are showing your insecurities. Notre Dame winning is no threat to LSU now. The teams that should worry are the B1G and USC.
