The ball was tipped. Murry knew he had to throw to the endzone. The guy who caught the ball was not the intended receiver. It wasn't an issue with clock management. I did question why Richt called that first time out however.

This exactly. I remember saying that could come back to bite them by seemingly wasting that timeout as opposed to having all 3 for the end game scenario
