ATL had what 70 yards on the ground the first drive? Outside of that one drive the Saints did well even defending the run.

The team just came out incredibly flat, on both offense and defense. It was depressing to see us not prepared or ready to play.

Our team is getting more overall QB pressures, defending the run a bit better, and giving up less and less long passing plays from blown coverage. We are slowly improving little by little. One major issue we need to correct ASAP is our tackling. Everyone is missing multiple tackles each game.

If we can tackle better in the future, add one player to the secondary to be a ball hawk, one OLB to help cover the TE and RB out the back field, one DE who is a sack machine this team will be rolling. The players are finally understanding the scheme as is evident by recent performances.

The defensive outlook really isn't too bleak. Improve tackling, and add 2 or 3 immediate contributors and we have a middle of the league defense easily. Which paired with our top 5 offense makes us a real threat to everyone.

Connor Barwin UFA but it's anticipated they would in no way let him walk. Will be franchised before hitting the market.

Shaun Phillips SD would be another great coup from the Chargers. He's like a Colston of LBs to me. Very solid playmaker that has never got acclaim anywhere near his ability. He'll be 32 going into next yr but his play is still on top. Cuz of the age he prolly wouldn't be a bank buster. Would be a great vet/fit for a shorter term like Sharper was.
