the only way we'll get an appropriate Sherman memorial on campus is the replace the Corporal missile in front of the ROTC building with a Sherman tank....
that being said, we aren't gumps (although Shaq has a statue) we shouldn't do statues....

The statues wse're talking about would never fit in a Wal Mart, so it is not at all Gumpish.

What really is appropriate for a guy that ran an institution with about 20 students, who got the job due to his political connections and held it for about full year year?
Name buildings for dead people that actually acomplished something relative to the University don't subsidize public crappy art with tax dollars.
