49er fan here.
If the 49ers can't get the #1 seed, then I feel best about the 49ers chances if the Falcons have the #1 seed.

I think some people are discounting the Falcons ability to find a way to win in close games. The 49ers couldn't agaisnt the Vikings and then were outplayed entirely by the Giants.

This is like the argument that A&M fans had for the reason they should have beat LSU... weak.
