Was he doing something illegal? Its not like he was trespassing or anything. There should have been no reason for him to be placed in cuffs and detained or arrested. Just because you hire a detail to work an event doesnt give you the authority to tell them to arrest someone just because you dont get your way.

This is a stupid situation and that principal should be fired, I wouldnt want her showing my kids how they are supposed to act in public.

Not respecting your authority is not a reason to use force. As a police officer, you better know that the force you are about to use is warranted, otherwise you're just as wrong as the principal.

Any use of good judgment would have told them not to do. The good news is their bad judgment should lead to the firing of the principal, who probably deserve it. If they refused to act, as they should have, then it's just an ugly incident that might, or might not, warrant discussion on this board.
