Les didnt build the program. Saban built it Les has done a decent job of running it. It's not as good a program as when Saban left but it's good.

Didn't suggest he did, did I?

I think you and I may have a different definition of "decent." when one improves on what was there before in terms of winning percentage, I'd call that more than a decent job of maintaining.

By what measure do you come to this conclusion?

Decent Job?

Miles AP Finishes at LSU:

2005- #5 (SEC Championship loss)
2006 - #3
2007 - #1 (SEC and BCS Championship)
2008 - unranked
2009 - #17
2010 - #8
2011 - #2 (SEC Championship & BCS Championship Loss)
2012 - Currently 7 in the bcs standings

Yeah, that's decent.

And for the record here are Saban's AP finishes at LSU:
2000 - #22
2001 - #7 (SEC Championship)
2002 - unranked
2003 - #1 (SEC & BCS Championship)
2004 - #16

Saban did a great job building the program, and Les has done a great job maintaining it. This program is better than when Saban left.

I have tried to stay away from getting frustrated by the rantards the past few days, but I finally snapped.

You sir are a dipshit! The year following a NC Saban lost to Iowa in a bowl game and cemented a 9-3 record.

Really?

2005 recruiting class was only 13.

Why? Numbers finally caught up with LSU (ie. Saban) who could only sign nearly 1/2 of what other teams were signing. FYI, Alabama signed 31 that year. Auburn - 22. Arkansas - 24. Miss St. - 29. Ole Miss - 28.

Saban was not perfect. I guarantee you if he stayed for an additional 3-4 yrs. (05-09), I don't think he would have done as well as Miles.

As far as recent coaching brain farts for Saban, look at the Aggie game. Best GD offensive line in decades and Grade A running backs. 4 minutes left in the game. 1 and goal on the Aggies' six yard line.

Run.
PASS?
PASS?
PASS?

Really? Is that all you can muster with the line of the Decade (Century?) offensive line?

Uh, what an ignorant comment, Les has actually done both.

Sorry, didn't have the final rankings for Saben.

Saben:
8-4
10-3
8-5 Lost 4 of last 6
13-1 BCSC
9-3

Miles:
11-2 #5 Katrina year
10-2 #3
12-2 #1
7-5 Perriloux kicked off team
9-3 #17
12-2 #8
13-1 #2 I believe
at least 11 this year
