I agree. In many ways Miles took what he inherited and made it better. I just think he has innate qualities that keep him from getting the most out of it on the field. Miles shut up the nationwide criticism of him by winning so many games, but the things that drew that ridicule of him in the first place are still there, b/c he is still himself.
And he's going to be here forever, fielding teams that win a lot of games but look bad doing it. Yippee.

The only reason people are jumping on Miles is because of his personality. All the great coaches make the same mistakes as Miles but because he comes off as goofy they are less forgiving.
Last year Saban got outcoached and lost to a less talented team on 11/3 and needed a whole lot of luck to get them into the NC game. .

Sabans teams had the same problem. Go back and look at 2002 and 2004 seasons.

Do you go to the games or watch them on TV?
If you go to the games you have an excuse to be ignorant of so many other "great" coaches mistakes.
