Rohan was a beast! Kevin Falk. Mean hasn't recruited or coached a single offensive superstar, not one. Ridley, come on, he plays for the Patriots. Your grandmother could be a star in New England with all the talent they have. Les may have his first with Ware he is a bad bad man.

So we've resorted to criticizing Miles for not having an offensive player that fits your arbitrary definition of "superstar"?

I mean I guess that's what you have to fall back on.

Been a while, hasn't it? Must be a fricking coincidence. Of course it is.

Is it a coincidence that you said "offensive"?

Because I'm sure you remember that we've had one Heisman candidate and another in the national discussion in the past two years.

I get the point here. But is it even necessary to have a "superstar" to see success, or is it more desirable to have a solid team?

One could easily argue that numerous "superstars" have gained that status due to the fact that most of the team was average, and they received most of the (touches, passes, on-field time, etc.)

Having a wealth of athletes tends to prevent superstars from emerging.

superstar equals Heisman. Heisman equals qb's and running backs. Louisiana doesn't produce high profile qb's and the running backs it does produce are big, bruising power backs.

talent wise...JR was the closet thing we have had to being a superstar. and then, of course, there was a kid named Perrilloux who was you basic woulda', coulda', shoulda'.

Your complaint is that a program that has rolled out defensive superstar after defensive superstar has not ALSO rolled out prolific offensive stars with gaudy PAC12/Big12 stats?

Definition of never fricking happy...

I'll go back to 2000

1. BCSNC - Les Miles
2. UAB - Nick Saban
3. Iowa - Nick Saban
4. Arkansas - Nick Saban (Corey Webster game)
5. Tennessee - Les Miles (Katrina game)

UAB, September 23rd, 2000. Nick Saban.

P.S. Please switch fan bases. You clearly will not be happy for the next 7 years. My suggestion is hop on the USC bandwagon with all their "Superstars" on offense who lost 5 games this year.

Nah, that's just a recent trend. Marshal Faulk, Warrick Dunn, Joe McKnight.

Who are we considering Curley's offensive "superstars" versus anyone who has played under Miles?

One thread today claims we have top 5 talent every year and another claims we have no offensive talent that's outstanding.

You negative bunnies need to make up your minds as to what you upset about or just admit the main thing that upsets is Miles is not NS.

LSU already reached the pinnacle once, in 2007, lest you forget so soon.
No. I remember sitting in the stands watching us lose to Arkansas, believing that by all logic, we were done. Flukes of mathematics =/= brilliant coaching.

LSU was one clusterfrick away from reaching it a second time, and in the process of getting there put together the greatest season of football LSU has ever played.
Um, yeah. I will remember it differently. And what was under the surface of that BCSCG is the reason for my very rightful despair.

That was my favorite part of your post. Yeah, that's what they were. "Rebuilding years." Gotcha.
