Seriously though, it is a good way to start out.
But get the Henry plain ol' lever action .22, you won't regret it. Put subsonics in it and the sound of hitting the target will be louder than the report.

I think a lot of us started on single shot .22's. It really was an great way to learn accuracy because you knew you didn't have a follow up shot.

My dad gave me a cricket 22 bolt action single shot for my 1st gun
That gun was a lot of fun
