All of them could come in as EE's. 4 would count back towards last year and the rest would go towards 2013. There isn't a restriction on how many early enrollees you can have.

The restriction is the 85. if you have 10 e.e. coming in, you have to get down to 75 prior to spring.

This is true, but I don't think it's that easy to manipulate the 85 in the middle of the year. While I'm not sure about this, I think the only way a scholarship can be substituted is if you're using one for at player who graduated no later than the fall semester. The point is that you can't just drop any player during the middle of the year and give his ship to someone else. Between years, yes, but not during. This is why it's difficult to have significant number of EEs if you're not reasonable close on the numbers to begin with. I could be wrong though.

PS I don't mean to imply that comment says anything about how easy or difficult it would be to allow ten.

Yeah, it kind of comes down to how many 5th year seniors there are and if they graduate in Dec.

The question is who aren't you counting in the 75. I don't know his status, but take Hurst for example if you aren't counting him. If he hasn't graduated, he needs to be counted because his ship cannot be given to someone else until the fall.

Said this on the prior page but if you look at the amount of possible losses to graduation(we have 8 current scholarship seniors), losses to the draft (Mingo, Sam, Reid--possibly Simon and Minter) and then some attrition (Turner, Fobbs, Williams); we should have more than enough room to enroll all 9 in January.

While Redfield did his numbers correctly, you are counting people who can't be counted because they will not have graduated by this december. The loss of those who won't have graduated will matter in the fall, but you can't count them for EE purposes.

Understood, I had forgotten to take into account that all seniors wouldn't be graduating in December. From what I understand we will have room for all 9 in January.
