So the good news is Gordon seems to be on track for the mid-December estimate. The discussion I'm looking forward to in this thread is if EG comes back and has a successful season for us, will his past injury woes still be a concern for some of you? I cannot recall a single athlete off the top of my head of any pro sport that has had serious injury concerns for multiple seasons and then eventually got healthy and remained so for the remainder of his career. EG was injury prone before he got here and Demps had to have had this in the back of his mind before dealing for him and extending him.
quote:
"I've talked to him already, just reacquainting and talking about his rehab and things of that nature. He said it's going really well. He was pretty upbeat about it.

Gordon said: "It's almost like a disorder. There was a little bit of a bone bruise, and, you know, kind of like some of these other guys like (Andrew) Bynum and (Danny) Granger. Luckily my process will be shorter than that."

Pretty sure Dwayne wade had injury problems early in his career.

yes. he's injury prone. but there's nothing i can do about that except hope he doesn't get injured, so I won't worry about it.

He said "like Bynum", that should concern everyone. On the plus side though, he's not a big, so he might have fewer problems. Still I think Demps needs to constantly have Gordon trades in the back of his mind, even if that trade doesn't happen for another 3 years.
